Fund Accountant/Admin

About the Role

We are seeking a sharp and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our growing investment team. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for the daily and monthly accounting functions for our flagship funds. You will ensure the accurate and timely calculation of the Daily Net Asset Value (NAV), reconcile complex portfolios with prime brokers, and support the trade settlement process.

The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, has a strong grasp of various financial instruments, and understands the urgency of delivering accurate data to portfolio managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily and monthly NAV production process, liaising with external administrators to review valuation packages and fee calculations.
• Coordinate with vendors (administrators, custodians, prime brokers) to ensure timely cash and position reconciliations; investigate and resolve basic discrepancies.
• Support the processing of capital activity, including subscriptions, redemptions, and capital calls, working with transfer agents and administrators.
• Monitor corporate actions and communicate updates to the internal team and external service providers.
• Assist in preparing investor reporting packages and supporting schedules for annual audits.
• Help maintain internal records and ensure data integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years of fund accounting or operations experience, ideally within a private fund, asset manager, or fund administrator.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with private funds and offshore fund structures (BVI/Cayman) is highly preferred.
• Vendor Coordination: Comfortable working with external vendors and administrators (e.g., SS&C, Citco, Apex) to coordinate workflows and resolve issues.
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of financial instruments (Equities, Fixed Income, private investments). Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
• Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, strong communicator, and able to manage multiple tasks under supervision.
