Manager, Digital Solution (Technology)

Position Summary

JEC is looking for a Manager, Digital Solutions (Technology) to lead the technical design, development, and implementation of digital solutions and AI-enabled applications across the organisation.

Working closely with internal IT teams, you will define solution architecture, guide development teams, and ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. You will also evaluate emerging technologies and help shape JEC’s digital technology roadmap.

The role reports to the Head of Product & Innovation within the Information Technology Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, technical design, development, and implementation of digital solutions, including AI agents and intelligent automation.
• Translate business and product requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable technology solutions.
• Establish and enforce architecture, software development, integration, data, security, and quality standards.
• Manage and mentor internal development teams and external technology partners, fostering strong engineering practices and technical excellence.
• Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and solution approaches, and recommend their appropriate adoption within JEC.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and enterprise systems teams to deliver integrated solutions successfully.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or technology delivery
• Hands-on knowledge of AI and machine learning technologies.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including cloud architecture, application services, data platforms, integration services, identity, security, and DevOps.
• Experience with Vantiq or a similar real-time, event-driven application development platform.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, microservices, system integration, cloud-native development, and data management.
• Experience establishing development standards and managing software engineering teams and external technology partners.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
