System Optimisation and Data Analytics Specialist

Role Introduction

Reports to: Assistant Manager System Optimisation and Data Analytics

Transform data and operational needs into practical improvements across Cathay’s Revenue Integrity, Payment and Global Distribution System/New Distribution Capability teams. Based in Hong Kong within Sales and Distribution, you will provide analytical support, conduct ad-hoc studies and contribute to strategy planning while helping to improve systems and automate processes.

Your work will address distribution risk, agency abuse, payment fraud, system performance and cost optimisation. By collaborating with information technology teams, DGT, business units and external vendors, you will help deliver enhancements, maintain data quality and turn trends into insights that support better business decisions.

From developing dashboards and performance measures to supporting predictive models, you will make improvements visible, measurable and aligned with business objectives—helping strengthen the systems and decisions behind Cathay’s distribution activities.

Key Responsibilities

System optimisation and enhancement

• Assist in identifying opportunities for system enhancements and process automation
• Support the streamlining and automation of processes related to distribution risk, agency abuse, payment fraud, system performance, and cost optimisation
• Collaborate with IT, DGT, business units (Bus) and external vendors to implement system enhancements and process improvements
• Monitor system performance and report any issues. Provide support for enhancement projects as required by management

Analytics and Strategies planning

• Provide data support for analytics and strategy planning, including dashboard development and ad-hoc studies
• Analyze data to identify trends and insights that inform strategic decision-making
• Develop and maintain performance metrics to track the effectiveness of system enhancements and process improvements
• Assist in defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure alignment with business objectives
• Collaborate with IT,DGT and business units (Bus) to maintain data quality
• Support the development of predictive models to forecast future trends

Requirements

• Degree or above in Business or Data analytics related field
• Experience with eCommerce/GDS/ Ticketing/ Revenue management is an advantage
• Experience in dashboard building and proficiency in Alteryx/SMUS is preferred
• Good analytical, coordination and communication skills
• Able to drive process change and adopt to changes
• Able to work under pressure to meet tight timelines
