Location: Hong Kong SAR

Report to: Accounting Manager / Finance Manager

Salary: HK$18000 to HK$22000

Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable operations, ensuring all invoices, payments, and expense reports are processed accurately and on time. This role is crucial in maintaining strong relationships with our vendors and supporting the month-end closing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice & Payment Processing:
• Handle daily AP operations, including processing, verifying, and updating invoices, debit/credit notes, payment vouchers, and receipts.
• Match and compare invoices with corresponding purchase orders (POs) and delivery receipts, highlighting any significant discrepancies to the relevant budget holder.
• Ensure all invoices are properly approved in a timely manner to meet established payment cycles.
• Prepare and execute payment runs (e.g., cheques, electronic transfers).
• Reconciliation & Reporting:
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any invoice discrepancies or billing issues.
• Prepare daily and monthly reports, including month-end closing schedules, reconciliation, and variance reports.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Administrative & Compliance:
• Perform general clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Handle expense reports and petty cash reimbursements.
• Liaise with vendors and internal departments to respond to inquiries and resolve issues.

Requirements

• Education:
• LCCI Intermediate Level or above or University Degree in Accounting is highly preferred.
• Experience:
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable.
• Experience in the F&B, hospitality, or retail industry is a distinct advantage.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Detail-oriented with a strong numerical sense and high accuracy.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting systems, Xero is a Must
