About the Job

We are looking for a hands-on Electrician (R&D/Production) to support our engineering team in developing breakthrough sustainable steel manufacturing technology. If you love designing, installing, troubleshooting, and making complex systems work in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

At Sparkmate, you'll work alongside engineers to bring ideas to life, from assembling prototypes to keeping our systems running at their best. This is a hands-on role where your craftsmanship and problem-solving instincts will directly shape the development of cutting-edge industrial technology.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the engineering team with hands-on electrical assembly and wiring for R&D projects and factory continuous improvement
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, control panels, motors, actuators, sensors, and other industrial electrical equipment in both R&D and production environments
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate and safe installations
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and minor repairs on tools, equipment, and experimental setups to ensure reliability and safety
• Collect test data, maintain clear records, and support engineers in identifying issues and iterating on designs
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workshop environment

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience in electrical systems (wiring, assembly, integration, and troubleshooting) — mechanical experience is a strong plus
• Resourceful and inventive mindset with a practical, can-do attitude
• High energy and strong work ethic (comfortable in very fast-paced startup environment)
• Ability to execute tasks independently, take ownership, and drive work to completion efficiently
• Full proficiency in English (Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a strong bonus)
• Experience with chemical/process engineering and metallurgy is a bonus

Location: 1 Kin Hong St, Kwai Chung, Hong Kong

The role is an on-site position as we all work in the lab.
