Regional Manager, Allocation and Yield Management Asia - Latin America

SUMMARY

The primary function of this position is to implement and ensure effective and dynamic cargo Allocation Management for all JAS Forwarding controlled Business in the APAC region for the Asia-Latin America trade lane.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Help designing and rolling out Allocation Management Processes
• Manage available space capacity to drive utilization and performance
• Supervise Allocation Management between Origin, Destination and Trade Lane heads
• Ensure correct execution of Global and regional Carrier policies
• Assess and prioritize customers' allocations and routing based on their business needs
• Ensure visibility of carrier allocation usage by regular reporting.
• Create visibility on available and used allocation as well as regular cargo flow.
• Laise between Origin and Procurement team to ensure best optimal allocation.
• Balance allocation of cargo to ensure VID’s based on carrier contract being met.
• Be the link between Origin and Destination to ensure smooth cargo flow, if issue arises.
• Generate reports for procurement teams’ discussions with carriers and sales teams’ discussions with customers
• Accelerate decision-making process by taking on the spot in alignment with Allocation Manager Destination Area
• Determine best choice of carrier given customer requirements and buy/selling rates
• Steering cargo considering MQC’s/commitments
• Enforce corrective measures to ensure compliance with rules set
• Decision power prioritizes and arranges allocations to match business needs and company objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of local and international rules and regulations in Ocean Freight
• Knowledge of NVOCC operations include applicable ruling
• Freight Forwarding Operations (Ocean Freight)
• Knowledge of the Asia - Latin America market
• Connections with Ocean Carriers
• Knowledge of allocation tool preferred
• Knowledge of local laws and regulations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Ideally a bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience of Allocation Management or CMC on the Forwarder or carrier side.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the shipping industry as a whole
• Working experience in an English speaking, internal environment
