JUNIOR/ENTRY LEVEL CHEMICAL PROCESS ENGINEER job at Search Enterprises, Inc.. Chicago, IL. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support unit engineering and production needs to ensure the asset runs safely, efficiently, and reliably at all times.

Identifying appropriate parameters, consequence of deviations, and corrective actions.

Preparation and support for unit shutdowns, turnarounds, and start-ups.

Assisting in the monitoring of unit performance variables and supporting benchmarking efforts. Participate in PHA and MOC activities for plant projects.

Support/lead Process Hazard Analysis and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA).

Write and support the Management of Change process through PHA and PSSR Evaluations.

Provide process expertise to ensure safe and cost-effective operations, monitor cycle times and rates, correct deviations, and troubleshoot product quality.

Participate on improvement projects and other teams to help provide operation improvements.

Develop and update key/critical process procedures such as process emergency procedures, process unique safety feature procedures, key process control procedures, and other critical process procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Chemical Engineering with experience. Will consider an entry level Chemical Engineer – willing to be trained. Any Co-op or internship experience is a plus. Knowledgeable of safety, quality and environmental systems and requirements. Technical and troubleshooting skills.
