Develop and implement innovative solutions for medical equipment used in the Heart Institute, in collaboration with physicians and researchers.
Conduct research and stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of biomedical engineering, specifically in relation to cardiology.
Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical equipment to ensure its accuracy and functionality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Create and maintain detailed documentation, including test reports, design specifications, and user manuals.
Provide technical support and training to healthcare professionals on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
Analyze data and troubleshoot issues with medical equipment, identifying and implementing solutions to improve performance and efficiency.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of new medical equipment and technologies to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring the safe use and handling of medical equipment.
Contribute to the development and implementation of quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of medical equipment.
Collaborate with external vendors and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery and installation of new equipment, as well as resolving any technical issues.
Actively participate in departmental meetings and provide updates on projects and initiatives related to biomedical engineering.
Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and repair history.
Comply with all institutional policies and procedures, as well as any relevant regulations and guidelines set by governing bodies.
