We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Advisor to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a well-established, highly successful team, with meaningful client exposure early, and a clear path toward becoming a full advisor.

Position Summary

This is an early-career role blending financial and insurance analysis, client service, and operational support. You will help develop strategies that meet clients’ financial objectives, keep client relationships and financial plans up to date, and deliver responsive, high-touch service—while learning the advisory craft directly from senior team members.

It is designed as a development track: strong performers grow into a client-facing advisor role over time.

Key Responsibilities

Financial & insurance analysis and planning

• Analyze financial information obtained from clients to determine strategies for helping them meet their financial objectives, with a strong focus on financial analysis and modeling.
• Interview clients to determine current income, expenses, tax status, financial objectives, risk tolerance, and other information needed to develop a suitable financial strategy.
• Guide clients in gathering supporting information such as bank account records, income tax returns, pension plan information, and wills.
• Perform research on mutual funds, ETFs, and individual stocks, and assist with portfolio construction, rebalancing analysis, and model portfolio maintenance.
• Build and maintain financial planning inputs (cash flow, retirement, and goal projections) and prepare client-ready reports and presentation materials.
• Support IRA rollover suitability analyses and other documentation demonstrating that recommendations serve the client’s best interest.

Client service & relationship management

• Build and maintain client relationships and keep client financial plans up to date.
• Contact clients periodically to identify changes in their financial status and respond promptly and professionally to requests.
• Coordinate client meetings, prepare agendas and follow-up items, and ensure action items are completed.
• Guide clients through paperwork, money-movement requests, and service questions with accuracy and care.

Operations & account administration

• Open, transfer, and maintain accounts with our custodians; process account paperwork and resolve items with the custodian.
• Process contributions, distributions, journals, and standing instructions accurately and on time.
• Assist with quarterly advisory fee billing and reconciliation, and maintain accurate records in the CRM and portfolio management systems.

Job Requirements

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, and/or economics.
• 0-8 years experience as a Junior Advisor and/or Client Relationship Manager at a financial advisory firm.
• Strong financial modeling ability and proficiency with spreadsheets; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides.
• Precise attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team, work efficiently, and multitask.
• Highly skilled with AI tools and automations to streamline research, financial analysis, and presentation development; build and maintain reusable AI-driven workflows ("skills") to improve consistency and turnaround time across client deliverables and internal systems.
• Integrity, a dedicated work ethic, and a genuine desire to help others—qualities inherent to the success of this business.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Preferred

• MBA, JD, CFP®, CPA, or ChFC® (a plus, but not required).
• Familiarity with Charles Schwab, Vanguard, Fidelity, and other custodial platforms.
• Experience with CRM, portfolio management, and financial planning software (e.g., Redtail, Zocks, PreciseFP, LaserApp, etc.).

Licensing

• FINRA Series 65 and the California State Life/Health Agent License exam to be completed within 90 days of hire. Future additional licenses may be required (SIE, Series 7, and/or Series 63/66).
