Redpath are working with a privately held, venture backed real estate business which is rapidly expanding. Our client focuses on the development of logistics infrastructure assets across the U.S.

The group's HQ is Austin with strategic offices located across the country in key growth areas.

Role

The Director of Finance is responsible for leading all corporate finance, capital planning, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities for the REIT. The role serves as a strategic business partner to the CFO, executive leadership team, and asset management group, ensuring capital is allocated efficiently, liquidity is optimized, and financial performance is accurately forecasted and communicated.

The position will play a critical role supporting debt and equity capital markets activity, portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, investor reporting, lender relationships, and long-term strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance & Planning

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning processes.
• Develop and maintain portfolio-level and corporate financial models.
• Analyze business performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and shareholder returns.
• Provide decision support to the Executive Team regarding investments, developments, acquisitions, dispositions, and capital allocation.
• Prepare Board, Investment Committee, and Executive Committee materials.

Capital Markets & Corporate Finance

• Support and execute debt and equity financing transactions.
• Manage relationships with banks, lenders, rating agencies, and capital partners.
• Evaluate refinancing opportunities and debt optimization strategies.
• Monitor corporate leverage, liquidity, and covenant compliance.
• Assist with public and private capital raises.

REIT Financial Analysis

• Monitor portfolio performance against budget and underwriting assumptions.
• Analyze property-level operating performance, NOI growth, and return metrics.
• Evaluate investment and divestiture opportunities.
• Perform scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and stress testing.
• Benchmark portfolio performance against public and private REIT peers.

Investment & Transaction Support

• Support acquisitions, developments, structured investments, and dispositions.
• Review underwriting models and investment memoranda.
• Conduct financial due diligence and valuation analysis.
• Assist in negotiation of financing and joint venture agreements.

Reporting & Compliance

• Coordinate with Accounting on monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
• Support SEC reporting processes including MD&A, earnings materials, and investor presentations.
• Monitor REIT compliance requirements and distribution planning.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, corporate governance, and audit requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or related discipline.
• 5-10 years of progressive finance experience.
• Experience within a: Public REIT OR Private REIT, Real Estate Owner/Operator, Institutional Real Estate Investment Firm
• Demonstrated experience in corporate finance, FP&A, treasury, or capital markets.
• Experience supporting debt financing transactions and lender relationships.
• Advanced financial modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years' of experience in finance or accounting
• CMA designation
• Strong communication and analytical skills
