Cluster Director of Sales

We are looking for a Cluster Director of Sales to be the driving force behind new business for two Novo Management hotels in the greater Austin area — Avid Hotel Tech Ridge and Comfort Suites Kyle.

Reporting directly to ownership, you are the face our community sees first: the person local businesses call when they need rooms, the person sports teams and event planners trust to take care of their group, and the reason a company chooses to stay with us again and again. This is a producer's role, not an observer's role — no ramp-up period, no training runway.

We're looking for someone who can walk in on day one, build real relationships across Austin and Kyle, and turn those relationships into booked rooms and lasting revenue. If you already know how to earn trust in a community and convert that trust into business, we want to talk.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and own the local account base for both hotels — corporate accounts, sports teams, crews, wedding and event groups, and community organizations across greater Austin and the Kyle/San Marcos corridor
• Be a visible, known presence in the community — chambers of commerce, local business associations, area employers, and event planners — the person people think of first when they need rooms
• Prospect and close new negotiated corporate accounts across both properties, managing rate structures within approved guardrails
• Own the full sales cycle personally — prospecting, site visits, proposals, contracts, and account management — with no dedicated sales support
• Work fluently across both brand systems — Choice Advantage for Comfort Suites Kyle and Opera for Avid Hotel Tech Ridge — tagging and tracking every account correctly from day one
• Represent both hotels at community events, local business functions, and industry gatherings that build long-term visibility and relationships
• Partner with ownership on rate strategy, seasonal positioning, and account prioritization across both properties
• Deliver monthly and quarterly production against revenue targets for each hotel — deliver, don't observe
• Maintain accurate account and pipeline records so performance is transparent and trackable from day one

Position Requirements

• 3+ years of hotel sales experience, ideally across corporate/negotiated accounts and group/room-block business
• A proven, existing network in the Austin/Central Texas market strongly preferred — this role has no ramp-up period
• Experience with Choice Advantage and/or Opera PMS a strong plus
• Self-starter who thrives without a sales team or coordinator — comfortable owning the entire sales process solo
• Strong community presence and relationship-building instincts — genuinely enjoys being out in the market, not behind a desk
• Track record of hitting or exceeding sales production targets in prior roles
• Comfortable working across two distinct hotel brands and markets simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication; confident representing the brand externally
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation — regular travel between the Tech Ridge and Kyle properties and around the community required
