We are currently seeking a talented Landscape Architect to join our team and help us bring our vision to life. As a Landscape Architect, you will have the opportunity to design and plan the development and preservation of our city's outdoor spaces.
This role requires a strong eye for detail, a passion for sustainable design, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. If you are a creative and driven individual with a degree in landscape architecture and experience in urban planning, we want to hear from you!
Design and plan the development and preservation of outdoor spaces within the City of Austin.
Create and implement sustainable design strategies and practices for all projects.
Collaborate with city officials, stakeholders, and community members to understand their needs and desires for outdoor spaces.
Conduct site assessments and analyze environmental factors to inform design decisions.
Develop and present detailed design proposals, including sketches, renderings, and technical drawings.
Coordinate with other departments and outside contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in landscape architecture and urban planning.
Conduct research and gather data to support project proposals and design recommendations.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor and evaluate the success of completed projects.
Advocate for the enhancement and preservation of natural resources and green spaces within the city.
