We are looking for highly motivated and skilled Special Education Early Learning Support (ELS), Teachers to join our team at District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) for the 2026-27 school year. We seek individuals who are passionate about transforming the DC school system and making a significant difference in the lives of our public school students, parents, and the greater DC community.
Signing bonuses of up to $7,500 will be awarded to rehired or new DCPS teachers who commit to teaching in Self-Contained Special Education (SPED) classrooms. Signing bonuses of up to $5,000 be awarded to teachers who commit to teaching in general or inclusion SPED classrooms. To be eligible, teachers must be selected for hire on or before July 17,
DCPS serves approximately 51,000 students in the nation's capital through the efforts of approximately 4,700 educators in 117 schools.

This position is a safety-sensitive position. As a result, throughout employment this position will be subject to the Employee Mandatory Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy.
The Teacher (10-month) will report to the Principal.
