Senior Copywriter: Proposal Development Professional

The Senior Copywriter creates engaging content that is disseminated across various channels, most predominantly in Large Group Proposals. This role uses research in product positioning and strategy to write copy that communicates value for the customer.

Clear, concise, and consistent content is developed to inform and engage target audiences, telling a compelling story that builds trust in Humana's products and services. Ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and be comfortable working in a collaborative environment, collecting research and using it to draft appropriate, strong narrative.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit and ensure consistent content for multiple communication channels including Large Group proposal entries, cover letters, executive summaries and case studies
• Produce error-free content that adheres to style and branding guidelines
• Conduct thorough research and interviews
• Collaborate with product teams, sales, marketing, and subject matter experts (SMEs) across the company to create narrative based on insights, product positioning, and proof points
• Interpret strategic direction and adapt points from briefs into persuasive copy concepts
• Compellingly communicate a product/service/deliverable story that demonstrates the competitive differential
• Work closely with proposal writers/project managers as a team player in aligning and delivering on requests
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
• Edit and proofread as needed

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in copywriting and content development
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills for clarity, transparency, consistency and persuasiveness
• Strong research skills and collaborative spirit
• Demonstrated oral communication skills to compliment writing experience
• Proficient time-management and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or Marketing
• Strong business acumen
• Excellent Microsoft Office suite skill set including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook5 years of writing experience; healthcare industry preferred
