Background Screening Representative – Contract Opportunity

📍 Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid)

📅 Duration: Contract Opportunity

💲 Pay: $30-34/hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Background Screening Representative to support the Workforce Screening team by managing pre-employment background screening for employees and contingent workers. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in background screening, HR operations, case management, or compliance who thrive in a fast-paced, confidential environment.

You'll work closely with candidates, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure background checks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Work Schedule

• Training: First month requires 4 days per week in the office
• After Training: Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office
• Candidates should be comfortable with the possibility of transitioning to a 4-day in-office schedule in the future.

Ideal Candidate

✔ 2+ years of experience in background screening, HR, case management, or a related operational role

✔ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

✔ Ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion

✔ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems

✔ Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills

Additional Consideration for Candidates With

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience supporting HR onboarding or background screening programs
• Experience with Workday, Salesforce, or similar systems
• Corporate Security, compliance, fraud investigation, or law enforcement experience
• Knowledge of employment verification, adverse findings, and regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Manage background screening cases to ensure completion before employee start dates
• Communicate with candidates regarding employment, education, and other verification requirements
• Review background screening results and investigate discrepancies identified by screening vendors
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and coordinate required documentation
• Escalate adverse findings to appropriate internal stakeholders, including HR, Compliance, and Employment Law
• Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure timely case resolution
• Maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
