Job Title: Toddler Teacher

Location: Karli Learning Academy

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Summary

Karli Learning Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Toddler Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The Toddler Teacher will support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate lesson planning, daily routines, and positive classroom interactions.

This role is ideal for an early childhood professional who values structure, consistency, and creating meaningful learning experiences for toddlers.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a daily schedule of developmentally appropriate activities for toddlers
• Create and use engaging teaching materials that support early learning and exploration
• Balance learning activities that promote both social-emotional growth and early cognitive development
• Provide attentive care, including supervision, feeding assistance, diapering, toileting, and other age-appropriate caregiving duties
• Use a variety of teaching methods such as storytelling, music, movement, sensory play, art, and indoor/outdoor activities to support learning
• Observe and assess children’s progress to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
• Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding their child’s daily progress, behavior, and developmental needs
• Foster positive interactions among children and encourage cooperation, sharing, and respect
• Identify behavioral or developmental concerns and communicate appropriately with leadership and families
• Work collaboratively with co-teachers, assistants, and academy leadership to maintain a positive classroom environment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom at all times
• Follow all childcare licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a childcare teacher, daycare teacher, or toddler teacher preferred
• Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices
• Patient, flexible, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about working with young children
• Creative, organized, and able to manage classroom routines effectively
• Strong communication and time management skills
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or required
• CDA, TCC, Associate degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred

Pay: $24,900.00 - $28,900.00 per year
