Overview
As a Senior Business Analyst and Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting project managers and leadership in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specifications. You will work closely with management and work groups to create and maintain work plan documents, track project status, and facilitate regular meetings and reviews. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers on various initiatives and projects to track progress and provide support as necessary
- Support leadership in ensuring that the project is delivered to specifications, is on time, and within budget

- Manage relationships with project staff responsible for projects
- Produce regular weekly and monthly status reports that could include; work plan status, target dates, budget, resource capacity, and other reports as needed
- Facilitate regular meetings and reviews
- Adhere to contract requirements and comply with all corporate policies and procedures
- Perform duties independently under the direction of the direct manager and/or Project Manager on specific projects
- Lead and support project planning, coordination, and execution activities across one or more Child Support system modernization engagements
- Gather, document, validate, and analyze business, operational, and functional information from stakeholders to support project objectives, deliverables, and recommendations
- Develop, review, and maintain project documentation such as work plans, status reports, governance materials, requirements artifacts, issue logs, risk logs, meeting notes, decision logs, and other project deliverables
- Plan for and facilitate interviews, focus groups, workshops, and other meetings necessary to gather information for project deliverables in accordance with the project scope of work
- Attend and lead project meetings with the client, subcontractors, project stakeholders, or other Maximus team members, as requested by the Senior Manager or Project Manager
- Analyze project information, client materials, and working documentation to identify themes, dependencies, risks, issues, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Research alternative solutions to problems, determine appropriate approaches, and make verbal and written recommendations to appropriate parties
- Review project work products and artifacts for completeness, consistency, quality, and alignment with project objectives, standards, and contract requirements
- Participate in client meetings and offer observations, analysis, and insight to support decision-making, issue resolution, and project progress
- Identify risk areas, potential issues, and project dependencies that require proactive attention, and support mitigation and resolution planning
- Support and contribute to the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports in compliance with contract requirements and project needs
- Support project testing efforts as assigned
- Track action items, follow-ups, and decisions, and help ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities and deliverables
- Work collaboratively with project staff, client representatives, and cross-functional teams to advance engagement goals and deliver quality outcomes
- Provide technical and subject matter support related to Child Support business processes, system modernization activities, project delivery practices, and oversight approaches
- Qualifications:*
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 7-10 years of relevant professional experience required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree
- Must be available to work during standard client business hours
- Five (5) or more years of experience supporting business analysis, consulting, project coordination, project management support, quality assurance, or related activities on Child Support technology implementation or modernization projects
- Experience working directly with stakeholders to gather information, analyze business processes, document findings, facilitate discussions, and develop recommendations that support project objectives and client decision-making
- Experience developing and reviewing project documentation and artifacts such as work plans, status reports, meeting materials, issue logs, risk logs, requirements documentation, governance materials, decision logs, and other client-ready deliverables
- Five (5) or more years of experience working in the Child Support Program or on Child Support system modernization initiatives
- Strong understanding of Child Support Program objectives, business processes, federal requirements, and system modernization considerations

- Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience
- Annual salary range: $120,000 - $140,000
