Job Description

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

o Create a learning environment of respect, honesty, and effort

o Inquiry based approach to plan learning modules that identify Essential Questions, Big Ideas, and student skills, concepts, and values

o Teach 29 periods per week

o Inventory and maintain science equipment and materials

o Run weekly labs

o Assess students frequently

o Maintain records

o Communicate with parents

o Work with students to accommodate learning needs

o Participate in various professional development sessions

o Various meetings

Training & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science education (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum teaching experience: successful long-term sub position. Teaching certificate, FBI clearances, fingerprinting.
