Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Procurement Specialist to support key government and defense-related programs in a FAR Part 15 environment. This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end lifecycle of FAR15 proposals and subcontract execution, with a strong focus on negotiating and securing compliant supplier agreements quickly and effectively.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of establishing long-term supplier agreements that ensure stable, competitive pricing while maintaining full compliance with acquisition regulations. Success in this role requires strong negotiation skills, supplier management expertise, and the ability to drive contract penetration and execution speed within a government contracting environment.

This position will support the Mechanical Assembly Government Sourcing team and serve as a lead resource for subcontract strategy, supplier negotiations, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of FAR15 proposals and subcontract execution in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and applicable regulations.
• Develop and execute supplier negotiation strategies to achieve fair and reasonable pricing.
• Establish long-term agreements and contracts that support both short- and long-term business needs.
• Conduct market research and analyze supplier cost and pricing data.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Deliver compliant FAR15 subcontract packages to government customers.
• Collaborate closely with Pricing and Program teams to support proposal and fulfillment activities.
• Manage key supplier relationships and drive supplier performance.
• Mentor and train team members while serving as a lead resource within assigned commodity areas.
• Support contract penetration efforts by rapidly negotiating and placing parts under contract.
• Ensure subcontract compliance with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TCPD) requirements when applicable.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in:
• Sourcing
• Procurement
• Supply Chain
• Contracts & Legal (L&C)
• Business or Finance
• Experience with subcontracting in a FAR Part 15 environment.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to contractual requirements.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive contract execution efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience supporting subcontractors throughout all phases of the program lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS).
• Experience within defense, aerospace, or similar regulated industries.
• Experience managing subcontract types including:
• FFP
• CP
• CPIF
• and other government contract structures
• Experience with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TCPD).
• Ability to understand and negotiate complex terms and conditions.
• Experience using SAP, MS Office Suite, and other procurement/business systems.
• Strong supply chain and procurement background in government contracting environments.
