Typical Role Overview

• Location: Manchester, Leeds, Bristol or nationwide UK
• Type: Contract
• Full-time
• Day Rate: £600–800 per day (depending on experience and seniority)

What You Would Do

Typical responsibilities could include

• Designing and implementing backend services using .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot or Python
• Building and maintaining microservices architectures and APIs
• Working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP to deploy and scale applications
• Contributing to CI/CD pipeline development and infrastructure automation using Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
• Implementing and optimizing data pipelines and ensuring data quality across systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate enterprise solutions such as SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC
• Writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews
• Supporting the troubleshooting and optimization of distributed systems

What You Could Bring

Most roles of this type require the following

Must-have

• Strong experience with backend development using at least one of: .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot or Python
• Working knowledge of APIs, microservices and distributed systems design
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools
• SQL and database design experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Right to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP RISE
• Kubernetes or Docker certifications
• AWS Certified Developer or Microsoft Azure Administrator Certified Associate
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform)
• Data pipeline and ETL knowledge
• Linux system administration
• Security awareness and CompTIA Security+ knowledge
