About the job

The Wallet Development Kit (WDK) Software Engineer contributes to Tether's open-source toolkit for building self-custodial wallet applications across mobile and desktop platforms. The role involves technical design, implementation, and collaboration to enhance the toolkit's capabilities. Experience with wallet creation or DeFi is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to innovative projects using agile methodologies and advanced technologies.
• Ensure backend services are scalable, responsive, and real-time to support growth.
• Maintain high security standards to protect user assets and data.
• Requirements +5 years of experience with Node.js and JavaScript development.
• Experience building or integrating crypto wallets for DeFi/blockchain applications.
• Familiarity with modular architecture for scalable applications.
• Experience developing complex platforms and APIs. Understanding of Peer-to-Peer technologies.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Strong security practices knowledge.
• Nice to have Experience with high-availability systems.
• Knowledge of Go, Rust, or C++. Familiarity with message queues (Redis), caches, and job queues.
