We're working with the AI and data innovation arm of one of the world's largest infrastructure groups as they continue expanding across the UK utilities sector.
They're looking for a Pre Sales Engineer to become the technical bridge between customers, sales, delivery and engineering, helping organisations understand how AI and data can solve complex operational problems.
This is a genuine individual contributor role. No people management. No sales quota. Just the opportunity to work on technically interesting customer engagements whilst helping shape how AI is adopted across critical infrastructure.
You'll sit within a small, highly collaborative Professional Services team, partnering closely with Sales, Product and Engineering throughout the customer journey.
From discovery workshops through to demonstrations, Proofs of Concept and solution design, you'll help customers understand what's possible, validate technical solutions and ensure projects are set up for success before delivery begins.
Every customer is different, meaning this is far more consultative than demonstrating an off the shelf SaaS platform.

You'll Ideally Bring
Working knowledge of Python, SQL or modern analytics platforms would be beneficial, but you don't need to be a software engineer.
What Success Looks Like
You'll be someone who enjoys translating technical concepts into business value.
You're equally comfortable speaking with engineers, architects and senior business stakeholders, helping customers understand not just how something works, but why it matters.
You enjoy solving problems, asking questions and building trusted relationships.
