Description

The role involves supporting the Customs team with the day-to-day management of import and export formalities. This includes preparing and submitting customs entries, issuing accurate clearance instructions to relevant stakeholders, maintaining up-to-date documentation, and ensuring all activities comply with current customs regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Log all import and export shipments accurately
• Prepare and submit CDS customs declarations (training provided)
• Assist with customs paperwork administration and coordination
• Monitor shipment status and update relevant records
• Communicate with freight forwarders and customs officials as needed
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies
• Support the customs team with daily operational tasks
• Maintain organised and up-to-date documentation

• Basic knowledge of import/export procedures, shipping terms, and logistics
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role
• Experience with CDS declarations on Descartes (desirable, not essential)

• Basic IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and customs software systems
