Node.js Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Backend Developer to design, develop, and support scalable, secure, and high-performing backend applications for enterprise banking platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production support.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js/NestJS.
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of secure coding and software engineering best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Banking or Financial Services.
• Exposure to Kafka, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native development.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Nice to Have: React/Angular exposure, Open Banking, Payments, and DevOps automation experience.
