Position: Cloud Data Engineer
Duration: 9 Months (Initial contract to December 24, 2026)
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite/week)
A leading Canadian investment management organization is undertaking a major cloud transformation initiative focused on modernizing enterprise data platforms and investment operations technology. The organization is investing in scalable cloud infrastructure, data modernization, and platform engineering capabilities to support mission-critical business functions and enhance operational efficiency.
This environment offers the opportunity to work on large-scale cloud migration programs, modern data platforms, and innovative technology solutions within a collaborative and highly skilled team.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to support the modernization and migration of enterprise-grade investment operations platforms and post-trade workflows.
This role will focus on migrating and refactoring legacy on-premises applications, services, and data workloads to scalable cloud-based infrastructure while ensuring high standards of reliability, testing, operational support, and code quality.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in cloud transformation initiatives involving Azure infrastructure, Snowflake migration, data engineering, and application modernization.
Working closely with architects, business analysts, developers, database administrators, and QA teams, this individual will help deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable cloud solutions that support business-critical investment operations.
