The Corradino Group is seeking a dynamic and motivated Urban Planner I to join our planning team in Miami, FL. This role requires a professional with 2–3 years of experience in municipal planning and urban design. This position is ideal for a self‑starter with a solid foundation in local government planning processes and a commitment to shaping communities through thoughtful planning and design.
Conduct development review and comprehensive plan consistency analysis.
Provide on‑site staff support to local governments, including conducting zoning reviews and field inspections.
Interpret and apply municipal codes and planning principles to projects and development proposals.
Engage in community planning initiatives and contribute to planning reports, presentations, and graphics.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, design, and transportation planning.
Communicate effectively with municipal staff, elected officials, developers, and the public.
Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field.
2–3 years of professional experience in urban planning, with a focus on local government, development review, and comprehensive planning.
Working knowledge of zoning codes, land development regulations, and municipal planning processes.
Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro, Adobe Creative Suite and/or SketchUp a plus.
Urban design experience desirable.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
Additional Requirements
Ability to travel within Miami‑Dade County, Broward County, and potentially to other jurisdictions.
Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Attendance at evening meetings as needed
Site visits to project locations
Serve as on‑site, adjunct staff, support at client locations
Regular interaction with the public, developers, and elected officials
