Test Automation Engineer

Farm Family, a subsidiary of Clearbrook Group Holdings Inc., specializes in farm and ranch protection with a wide range of products. We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our P&C Quality Assurance and Test Automation team.

In this role, you will report to the Manager of P&C Quality Assurance and Test Automation and leverage your expertise in automated testing frameworks, software quality assurance, and technical leadership to ensure reliability and performance of our critical P&C policy systems.

You will work independently on complex assignments, collaborating with technical and non-technical team members to deliver robust automated testing solutions. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts for web and API applications.

You'll support test case design by engaging with Agile teams to understand systems and workflows, execute testing within CI pipelines using tools like Git. Hub Actions or Azure Dev. Ops, analyze results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.

You'll also maintain test environments, existing tests, and test data management strategies, implement test reporting dashboards, participate in code reviews, and prepare detailed documentation including best practices, data flow, and training materials.

Additionally, you'll develop estimates for time and cost, collaborate with the Test Automation Architect on strategic objectives, and stay current with emerging tools and trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Six to eight years of experience in software development or test automation, with a minimum of five years focused on designing and implementing automated testing frameworks for complex business systems.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in test automation: Java, Python, Java. Script, Type. Script, or C#.
Experience with open source and/or proprietary test automation frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Tricentis Tosca.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills and ability to lead and mentor others.
Understanding of P&C Commercial/Ag insurance products is a plus.
Test Automation related certifications such as CTAL
TAE, CSTAS
IIST, etc. are a plus.

Compensation & Location

The base salary range for this role is dependent on location.
For the Omaha, NE area, the range is $79,764.00 - $100,368.
1. For Chicago, IL: $87,740.00 - $110,400.
1. Salary is commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.

This is a 100% in-office position. The role requires consistent on-site presence in Omaha to support collaboration, real-time decision-making, and effective partnership with cross-functional teams.
