Fund Controller

I'm partnering on a search with a well-established alternative asset manager that's built a strong reputation in the private credit space. Rather than being one person on a large accounting team, you'll become a key finance partner responsible for the integrity of the fund accounting and reporting process while working directly with senior leadership.

This is a role for someone who enjoys understanding the "why" behind the numbers, not just checking the boxes.

What you'll own

• Lead the month-end NAV review and verification process across private credit funds
• Review fund administrator work and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
• Interpret partnership agreements and fund documents to properly account for complex transactions
• Analyze investment activity and determine the appropriate accounting treatment
• Partner with auditors through quarterly and annual audits
• Support investor reporting and other strategic finance initiatives
• Drive process improvements and automation across the finance function

We're looking for professionals with

• 10+ years of experience in private funds, fund administration, public accounting, or investment management
• CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS is a plus)
• Experience reviewing NAVs, fund financials, or alternative investment structures
• A mindset focused on ownership, continuous improvement, and building better processes
