Junior Analyst/Data Scientist - Power Grid 💰 Salary: $65,000 - 85,000 per year

📝 Rquirements

• Experience or knowledge of power systems or load flow modeling (academic or professional)
• Understanding of grid fundamentals including buses, lines, constraints, and contingencies
• Proficient analytical skills utilizing Python, Excel, or similar software
• Capability to work with structured datasets and analyze model outputs
• Must either possess or be able to obtain CEII clearance
• Familiarity with tools like PSS®E, PowerWorld, or comparable software is a plus (preferred qualification)
• Exposure to power markets such as ERCOT, PJM, etc. (preferred qualification)
• Experience with large grid datasets or simulation pipelines is advantageous (preferred qualification)
• Understanding of cloud platforms or data pipelines is beneficial (preferred qualification)

👩‍💻👨‍💻 Your responsibilities are

• Collaborate with bus data, network topology, and load flow models to advance grid analytics and scenario development
• Assist in constructing and upholding repeatable workflows for screening, constraints analysis, and sensitivity assessments
• Analyze and validate model outputs such as thermal violations, voltage discrepancies, and convergence issues
• Aid in integrating modeling outcomes into our internal platforms and tools
• Partner with engineering and data teams to enhance data quality and model efficiency
