Systems Administrator - Enterprise IT Operations

Our client seeks a Systems Administrator to support, secure, and optimize enterprise IT operations. The role includes end-user system support and endpoint deployment for a modern, scalable, and secure environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical expertise, organizational discipline, and a collaborative mindset.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $27.00 to $32.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on desktop and systems administration support for Mac, Windows, and Linux environments.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software across end-user devices and server systems.
• Administer user accounts, access control, and group policies using Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Manage IT assets through procurement, deployment, support, and decommissioning.
• Participate in on-call rotation and perform maintenance activities outside business hours as required.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to support enterprise IT operations and incident response.

Experience Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in systems administration or enterprise desktop support.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and identity and access management tools.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and endpoint security practices.
• Familiarity with IT asset management platforms such as Snipe-IT, JSM, or Jira.
• Ability to support an on-call rotation and off-hours maintenance windows.
• Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
• Preferred: Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), JAMF, and PowerShell scripting.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of ITIL practices for change, incident, and asset management.
• Preferred: Experience supporting remote and hybrid environments and relevant industry certifications.
