Subject: Junior Electrical Engineer – HV/Pulsed Power & Plasma at CERYNEIAN

CERYNEIAN Corporation is an early-stage space propulsion venture hiring a part-time Junior Electrical Engineer (roughly 20 ± 10 hours/week, with full-time contemplated as the company grows). This role will focus on high-voltage electrostatics, pulsed power, and electromechanical systems.

We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in plasma physics and HV engineering, and the hands-on instincts to match — comfortable with a soldering iron and happier building their own electronics for fun than waiting for someone else to do it.

This is a small, select team with one mission: go faster than anyone else. We want people who want to work at the forefront of innovation and would rather chase hard real-world problems than sit on the sidelines. If that's you, your background matters less than your drive.

This is an on-site role — no remote work — but hours are very flexible, including evenings and weekends, to work around class schedules or other commitments.

Recent grads and active students are welcome to apply, though you must be able to work on-site at our office (2611 South Coast Highway 101, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA 92007). If you're a physics or electrical engineering student — or enthusiast — with a background or interest in HV electrostatics, plasma, pulsed power, or electromechanical innovation, we want to hear from you.

Formal industry experience isn't required; a demonstrated habit of building, testing, and breaking your own electronics matters more than a résumé line.
