Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join a food and food processing organization in Minneapolis, Minnesota on a Long-term Contract basis. This position will support commercial decision-making through pricing evaluation, profitability review, and broader financial insight across product lines.

The role offers the opportunity to work closely with brand leadership, assess cost drivers, and strengthen financial tools that guide pricing and market strategy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed pricing evaluations across individual products and develop informed recommendations that support revenue and margin goals.
• Build and refine profit-and-loss views for pricing scenarios, identifying factors that influence product profitability.
• Provide commercial finance support to brand stakeholders by translating financial data into practical business guidance.
• Monitor and assess trade spending for branded offerings to help improve financial performance and visibility.
• Collaborate with brand leadership on pricing direction and market launch planning for new and existing products.
• Examine the financial effect of commodity cost changes and highlight risks or opportunities tied to major input expenses.
• Use and enhance Excel-based pricing models to improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision support.
• Deliver ad hoc analysis, variance reviews, and data-driven insights to assist with planning and performance discussions.
• Challenge assumptions in financial inputs and present clear perspectives that support sound business decisions.
