Inside Sales and Customer Service Representative

Winsupply Minneapolis is looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Inside Sales & Customer Service Representative to join our growing HVAC team.

This is a fast-paced position built around helping HVAC contractors get what they need to complete their jobs. You will assist customers by phone, email, text, and at the sales counter; prepare pricing; enter orders; recommend products; and coordinate with our warehouse, purchasing, delivery, and outside-sales teams.

The right person will build strong contractor relationships, provide accurate information, and understand that customer service is our number-one priority.

Inside Sales Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC contractors by phone, email, text, and at the sales counter.
• Build professional, long-term relationships with customers.
• Identify what customers need and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Prepare pricing, quotes, and customer orders accurately.
• Provide information about product availability, lead times, substitutions, warranties, and deliveries.
• Help customers select HVAC equipment, replacement parts, accessories, tools, and installation materials.
• Assist with warranty claims, returns, and damaged-product issues.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales-counter area.
• Participate in product, manufacturer, and company training.
• Assist other departments when needed to make sure the customer is taken care of.

Customer Service Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to every customer.
• Keep customers informed throughout the ordering and delivery process.
• Ask the right questions to understand the complete customer need.
• Resolve routine problems and involve management when additional help is required.
• Follow customer requests through completion instead of passing responsibility to someone else.
• Document important conversations, pricing, commitments, and order changes.
• Handle frustrated customers calmly and professionally.
• Collect customer feedback and communicate recurring concerns to management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction-supply, inside-sales, counter-sales, or customer-service experience.
• Familiarity with residential or light-commercial HVAC equipment, parts, and accessories.
• Ability to stay organized while managing frequent interruptions.

HVAC industry experience is preferred, but it is not required. We will train a dependable person with strong customer-service skills, mechanical aptitude, and a genuine desire to learn.
