Social Media Creative Strategist - CONTRACT - Hybrid in Minnetonka

We are seeking a talented Social Media Creative Strategist to create insight-led social content. This contract role will translate business objectives, audience behavior, campaign performance, and emerging social trends into compelling creative briefs and high-impact social video concepts.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with strong creative instincts and is comfortable shaping content from early concept through production. You will develop concepts, storyboards, scripts, ad copy, and platform-appropriate creative that is timely, engaging, and aligned with brand goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop insight-led creative briefs and translate them into engaging social video concepts.
• Use business, consumer, performance, and social-trend insights to inform creative direction and content recommendations.
• Create and refine social concepts, storyboards, scripts, and ad copy for a range of digital and social platforms.
• Lead creative workflow and collaborate closely with producers, videographers, and the in-house production team.
• Monitor trending topics, cultural moments, and platform behavior to identify timely content opportunities.
• Support text-based concept development and ideation using AI-assisted creative tools.
• Ensure creative work is strategically sound, audience-relevant, brand-aligned, and optimized for social engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience developing social media strategy, creative concepts, and video-first content.
• Strong ability to turn research, audience insights, and performance data into actionable creative ideas.
• Demonstrated experience writing creative briefs, scripts, storyboards, and social copy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively across creative and production teams.
• Awareness of evolving social platforms, content trends, and best practices.
• Comfort using AI-enabled tools to support brainstorming, concepting, and creative development.
• Copywrite social media ads in which videos will be used.
