Senior National Account Manager - TARGET

The Senior National Account Manager – TARGET on our Large Format retail channel team is responsible for directly managing and growing the strategic partnership between HARIBO and TARGET (retailer) nationwide across the United States.

• Based in Minneapolis
• St. Paul, MN, the Senior National Account Manager will conduct regular visits to TARGET HQ offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota to build long-term relationships and mutually beneficial partnerships with key stakeholder to achieve and/or exceed sales goals and KPIs. This senior level role will own, manage, develop, and execute strategies and plans that meet assigned sales and market share goals for HARIBO and assigned national account

This is a remote position, but qualified candidates must currently reside in the greater Minneapolis, Minnesota metropolitan area for geographic proximity of TARGET corporate headquarters. We are not looking into relocation candidates, or candidates that do not live in Minnesota, at this time.

Located in the Twin Cities, the Senior National Account Manager - TARGET will have at least 7+ years of sales and business development experience in the CPG- Consumer Packaged Goods industry (products sold in retail stores) with at least 3+ years of experience with TARGET as a customer with headquarters calls experience at TARGET headquarters. Previous candy, confectionery, or snack experience is strongly preferred.

Sr. NAM = responsibilities include

• Based in Minneapolis / St. Paul, MN, the Senior National Account Manager - TARGET will own, manage, develop and execute strategies and plans that meet assigned sales and market share goals for HARIBO’s portfolio of products and assigned national account – TARGET (nationwide)
• Utilize data to develop accurate sales forecasts and use data and insights as part of “fact based selling” to drive sales growth opportunities
• Consistently achieve sales and profitability goals
• Conduct routine visits to TARGET HQ offices in Minneapolis / St. Paul, Minnesota – building long-term relations and mutually beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders
• Conduct headquarter calls at Target (retailer) corporate offices, meeting and presenting to key stakeholders
• Execute consumer and shopper driven strategies
• Develop accurate rolling sales forecasts, partner with HARIBO's Supply Chain teams to minimize out-of-stocks
• Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including Trade Marketing, Sales Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Category Management, and Finance
• Leverage HARIBO product mix to drive profitability and meet customer and shopper targets to continue to make HARIBO the leader in gummi candies and bring "Childlike Happiness" (one of our core values) to TARGET consumers across the United States
• Create, develop, and execute joint business plans

Qualifications for the Sr. NAM

• This is a remote position located in the Minneapolis, MN metro area. We are not looking into relocation candidates, or candidates that do not live in Minnesota, at this time
• Minimum 7+ years of strategic sales experience specifically within the CPG - Consumer Packaged Goods industry (items sold in retail stores)
• 3+ years of experience with TARGET as a customer, with headquarters calls experience at Target headquarters in Minneapolis, MN
• Bachelor's Degree
• Prior experience managing National Accounts
• 5+ years of experience utilizing customer sales and/or syndicated sales data tools such as IRI, Circana, Nielsen, SPINS, etc.
• Travel - This role requires the ability to travel locally to the TARGET corporate headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on a regular (possibly weekly) basis. Additionally, travel to HARIBO of America’s corporate office and other nationwide travel is required as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Candy, Confectionary, or Salty Snacks experience is strongly preferred
• 10+ years of sales/business development in the consumer packaged goods industry, ideally fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry
• Master’s Degree / MBA

Compensation and Benefits

Target Hiring Pay Range: $150,000 - $170,000 annually

This pay range represents the min/max target annual base salary range HARIBO of America, Inc. may pay for this position at the time of this posting. Please note, a candidate’s offered annual salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and the geographical location of the role.
