Wellness Assistant / Receptionist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Wellness Assistants will greet all visitors, new clients and family members, answer all incoming calls and direct them to the correct department, coordinate with the Wellness team to connect clients to family calls, assist with in-person visits, receive and organize package deliveries to the front lobby, and maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the reception area.

JOB DETAILS

• Full Time: 4 days / 10am-8:30pm / Sunday to Wednesday
• Work Location: 11910 NE 154th St. Brush Prairie, WA 98606 (Near Battleground)

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED equivalent preffered. Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Must have basic typing and computer skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and APTITUDES

• Provide phone reception services for the campus, transfer incoming phone calls to the appropriate extension.
• Assist with connecting family members and other personnel with clients for phone or video visits.
• Answer front door, sign all visitors in, distribute visitor badges, notify appropriate staff.
• Greet all clients, family, visitors, vendors, and staff warmly.
• Receive all packages addressed to facility and/or staff and assist with delivery to appropriate area.
• Retrieve and distribute mail.
• Supports staff in Wellness and other departments in minor tasks that can be done during downtime.

• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, and be able to perceive the attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature, and/or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of the fingertips
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for up to four continuous hours
• Ability to communicate verbally, see well enough to read written materials, and to discern a variety of odors continuously
• Ability to hear/perceive the nature of sound with no less than 40 dB loss @ Hz, 1000 Hz, and 2000 Hz with or without correction: ability to perceive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound
• Ability to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers
• Ability to occasionally carry or lift program materials of up to 15 pounds. (i.e., briefcase, clients’ belongings, etc.)
• Ability to see with a minimum standard of visual acuity, with or without correction, that will enable people in the role to complete administrative and clerical tasks and visually observe clients on the unit and in therapeutic activities.
