Director of Strategic Operations - Global Software Company

THE JOB

This software company's Strategic Operations team is growing. The right person for this opportunity will be located in the greater Portland, Oregon area, with 5+ years of recent professional Consulting, Business Operations, and/or Corporate Strategy/Transformation experience in software or technology.This is a highly visible role working closely with senior leadership.

Your goal in this job will be to drive stakeholder alignment and execution for high-priority operational initiatives across the business.

Key responsibilities include

• Leading high-priority strategic operations and operational excellence initiatives from planning through execution.
• Learning the business by actively seeking information, asking strong questions, and connecting dots across teams.
• Serving as the point person for assigned business priorities and driving progress against meaningful outcomes.
• Working directly with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to create alignment and momentum.
• Taking ambiguous business problems and turning them into clear workstreams, plans, milestones, and actions.
• Using analytics, business insight, and stakeholder input to identify operational gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Supporting go-to-market, customer-facing, commercial, and operational initiatives.
• Coordinating across departments to ensure initiatives move forward and accountability is maintained.
• Developing executive-ready updates, recommendations, presentations, and decision-support materials.
• Driving measurable outcomes rather than simply tracking activity or producing recommendations.
• Bringing urgency, structure, and business judgment to initiatives that matter to the company’s future direction.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of recent professional Consulting, Business Operations, and/or Corporate Strategy/Transformation experience in software or technology.
• Able to own mission-critical strategic operations initiatives from problem definition through implementation.
• Strong analytical skills and structured problem-solving ability.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives with executive visibility.
• Strong executive communication and board-level presentation experience.
• Bachelor's Degree
• Must live in the Portland, Oregon metro area. Comfortable working hybrid remote/in office for team collaboration and trainings
