Urban Planner​/Designer

Walker Macy is seeking an Urban Planner/Designer for their Portland, OR office. The role requires a professional degree in urban design or landscape architecture and at least two years of relevant experience. Candidates should have strong design skills, proficiency in design software, and be self-motivated and collaborative.

The position focuses on socially conscious, sustainable urban design and involves supporting project managers with coordination and scheduling.

We are seeking a talented urban designer with at least two years of relevant experience in an urban design-related practice to work in our Portland office.

This position requires a professional degree in urban design and planning (postgraduate level) or landscape architecture (BLA or MLA). The position requires a strong understanding of physical planning and design as well as clear graphic communication skills and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, GIS, CAD, and Sketch Up or Rhino.

Hand drawing skills are also an asset. Our ideal team member will have writing and communication skills, be self-motivated, rigorous, collaborative, organized, and efficient. This position will support project managers, including team coordination, scheduling, and deadline management of our work. This position is in-person at our downtown Portland office.
