Job Title: Business Development Manager – Luxury Residential Construction
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Bluffdale office + field-based throughout Park City, the Wasatch Back, and surrounding markets
See Below
Three Peak Construction is a premium construction and remodeling company serving Park City and the surrounding Utah market. We build high-end remodels, additions, and custom homes for clients who expect excellent communication, thoughtful planning, and work done the right way.
We are hiring an experienced Business Development Manager to build the relationships that lead to our next generation of projects.
Your job is to become the person architects, interior designers, engineers, luxury real estate professionals, developers, property managers, and other trusted advisors think of when someone needs a capable residential contractor.
This is not an entry-level sales position, and it is not an inbound lead-management role.
We are looking for someone who has already built professional relationships, has personally originated meaningful business, and understands how high-value construction opportunities are created.
You should already know how to get meetings, earn trust, stay relevant, and turn professional relationships into qualified introductions.
You will spend your time in the market: visiting offices, scheduling lunches, attending events, hosting site tours, making introductions, following up, and finding thoughtful reasons to stay in front of the right people.
We want someone polished, resourceful, commercially sharp, and professionally persistent. The kind of person who follows up a sixth time without making it awkward, remembers the details people share, and steadily turns introductions into real business.
You will be given the tools to do it: a company vehicle, technology, access to leadership, a strong project portfolio, and a relationship-development budget for lunches, coffee, events, office drop-ins, and thoughtful touches.
We will support you with the resources and credibility of Three Peak.
We will also expect you to produce.
Your base salary will be between $85,000 and $100,000, depending on your experience, construction knowledge, existing relationships, and history of producing new business.
This position also includes uncapped performance commission tied to qualified, profitable, and collected business that you originate.
A fully ramped Business Development Manager is expected to generate at least $3 million in annual construction revenue.
That is the low end of the production standard, not the stretch goal.
Someone who meets quota should expect to earn approximately $140,000 or more. Someone who builds a strong pipeline and consistently exceeds quota should have a realistic path to earning $180,000 or more.
The more valuable, profitable business you create, the more you make.
What We’re Looking For
This Role Is Not For
This is not a position for someone who wants Three Peak to teach them how to network from the beginning.
We are not looking for someone with a list of names they have met once. We are looking for someone with real professional credibility and relationships that can lead to meaningful conversations.
We do not expect a signed project during your first week.
We do expect evidence that you know how to create one.
What You’ll Do
What Success Looks Like
During your first 30 days, you learn our work, process, ideal projects, and what makes Three Peak different.
You also begin activating the relationships you already have.
You identify the architects, designers, engineers, Realtors, developers, and other professionals who should know Three Peak, and you begin securing meetings and introductions.
Within 90 days, you have established a consistent rhythm of office visits, lunches, follow-ups, events, project tours, and relationship meetings.
You have introduced Three Peak to credible professional partners, qualified opportunities are beginning to enter the pipeline, and leadership can clearly see the quality and potential of the network you are building.
As you become fully ramped, you maintain a strong network of active referral relationships and a credible pipeline of future remodel and custom-home projects.
Your minimum annual production target is $3 million in sourced construction revenue.
Activity matters, but activity alone is not the result.
The relationships you build must create qualified, profitable opportunities for Three Peak.
Typical Day
You start the morning by meeting an architect you have known for several years. You discuss an upcoming custom home, learn where the project stands, and identify when it would make sense to bring Three Peak into the conversation.
Next, you drop coffee and pastries at an interior-design firm you have been developing. It is not a random delivery. You know who you are meeting, what kinds of projects they work on, and why Three Peak may be valuable to them.
At lunch, you meet a luxury Realtor who tells you about a client purchasing an older Park City home that will likely require a major renovation.
In the afternoon, you host a designer and engineer at one of our active projects. You introduce them to leadership and show them how we approach planning, site protection, communication, and execution.
Between meetings, you follow up with previous contacts, prepare for an upcoming event, schedule next week’s appointments, document opportunities in the CRM, and help leadership prepare for a meeting involving a potential multimillion-dollar project.
You do not wait for somebody to give you a list of leads.
You create reasons for the right people to know us, trust us, and remember us when an opportunity appears.
The Right Personality
This position is for someone with high personal initiative.
You should enjoy being out of the office, meeting new people, asking good questions, and steadily expanding a professional network.
You should be able to hear “not right now” without treating it like “never.”
You are friendly, but not passive.
You are confident, but not arrogant.
You are persistent, but not obnoxious.
You understand that meaningful professional relationships are built over time, and you have the discipline to keep showing up before there is an immediate payoff.
You do not need someone checking whether you made your calls, attended the event, scheduled the lunch, or followed up after the meeting.
You manage your calendar, territory, relationships, pipeline, and commitments like they belong to you.
Growth Opportunity
Three Peak is building toward becoming the number one premium residential construction and remodeling firm in our market.
The right person can grow into a Director of Business Development or senior growth-leadership role, help establish new markets, and eventually build and lead a larger business-development team.
This is a newly created position with direct access to company leadership and a meaningful opportunity to shape how Three Peak grows.
If you can build the relationships and produce the revenue, there is real financial and leadership upside here.
Three Peak Culture
We are not the cheapest company in town, and we are not trying to be.
Three Peak has been featured in the Park City Parade of Homes, and our goal is to become the number one firm in the area.
We do high-quality work, serve high-expectation clients, and expect a high standard from our team.
That means follow-through, professionalism, honesty, responsiveness, and pride in the details.
We need someone who can represent the company at a high level without exaggerating our capabilities or making promises the rest of the team cannot deliver.
We want someone who takes ownership, identifies opportunities, solves problems, and helps us build a company that clients and professional partners trust.
