Social Media Manager and Content Creator

Job Summary

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and self-motivated Social Media & Content Creator to help tell Uncle Steve’s story and grow our brand across digital platforms. This role is ideal for someone who understands social media culture, loves creating engaging content, and has a passion for building authentic communities.

You will work closely with our marketing and founding team to create compelling videos, develop new ideas, engage with our audience, and help introduce Uncle Steve’s to a growing community.

Responsibilities

• Create, film, and edit engaging short-form video content for platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging platforms.
• Ensure all content aligns with Uncle Steve’s brand voice, visual identity, and storytelling standards.
• Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and community conversations to identify opportunities for growth.
• Engage with followers through comments, direct messages, and community interactions to build meaningful relationships.
• Participate in creative brainstorming sessions to develop new content ideas, campaigns, and social activations.
• Brainstorm, pitch, and execute content strategies designed to increase brand awareness, community engagement, and sales.
• Work directly with the Head of Marketing and founding team to bring creative ideas from concept to execution.
• Leverage your personal and professional network to coordinate interviews, podcasts, collaborations, and in-person content opportunities.
• Assist with photography, event coverage, and other visual storytelling needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in social media management, content creation, digital marketing performance monitoring, and social media analytics.
• Proficiency with media editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro (video editing), and other media editing software.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, web analytics, and marketing online analytics to enhance content visibility.
• Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for proofreading and content writing that resonates with target audiences.
• Ability to design visually appealing graphics using Adobe Creative Suite tools for diverse social media formats.
• Experience managing multiple social media platforms simultaneously while maintaining brand consistency.
• Knowledge of social listening techniques, relationship management strategies, and branding principles to foster community engagement.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools like Hootsuite, Buffer (application), Google Analytics, and social media management platforms for scheduling and performance tracking.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to analyze media performance data using media performance analytics tools for ongoing optimization.
• Ability to independently manage projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize responsibilities.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Positive attitude, creative mindset, and genuine passion for storytelling, visual content, and community building.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate projects, interviews, and events locally and remotely.
