Finance Manager

Accounting & Finance Manager role at HEAL Wellness & Innovations in Riverton, Utah. The position reports to the CFO and is responsible for both traditional accounting leadership and broader financial planning, analysis, and operational finance functions.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

Lead all core accounting functions, including general ledger, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, leases, and balance sheet accounts.

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and ensure timely GAAP-compliant financial reporting.

Deliver management reporting, cash flow analysis, and variance reporting.

Revenue & Operations Accounting

Oversee revenue recognition across multiple sales channels and contract types.

Reconcile e-commerce platforms, merchant processors, sales, refunds, chargebacks, discounts, and customer credits.

Review commercial agreements and ensure proper accounting for commissions, rebates, and returns.

Inventory & Cost Accounting

Own inventory reconciliation, valuation, reserves, and reporting.

Maintain SKU-level product costing and margin analysis.

Support inventory controls across company-owned and third-party locations.

Financial Planning & Treasury

Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and financial modeling under the CFO.

Analyze profitability by product, customer, and channel.

Manage banking relationships, cash position, liquidity planning, and lender/investor requests.

Controls, Compliance & Leadership

Design and strengthen internal controls and segregation-of-duties processes.

Coordinate payroll accounting, tax compliance, audits, and financial documentation.

Oversee and hold external accounting service providers accountable.

Partner with IT, HR, Operations, and Quality teams on financial controls and systems integrity.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

3+ years of progressive accounting experience.

Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with financial statements, reconciliations, controls, payroll accounting, and tax coordination.

Physical-product inventory and cost-accounting experience.

Advanced Excel skills and ERP/accounting system experience.

Experience supervising employees or external accounting providers.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA and/or CMA credentials.

Public accounting or audit experience.

Background in healthcare, medical products, manufacturing, distribution, retail, or e-commerce environments.

Experience with inventory management, multi-state sales tax, ERP implementations, and high-growth private companies.
