QA Automation Engineer

Technology and Sub-technology

• Technology: Quality Assurance, Automation Testing

Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance

Job Overview

• We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong experience in both Automation and Manual Testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• The candidate will be responsible for test planning, scripting, execution, defect tracking, and working closely with development and product teams.
• A strong foundation in Java, OOP principles, Selenium, BDD frameworks, and SQL for database validations is required.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and e-commerce or retail domain knowledge is highly preferred.

Primary Skills

• 3+ years of experience in QA with strong knowledge in both manual and automated testing
• Experience in Selenium WebDriver using TestNG and BDD frameworks (like Cucumber)
• Proficiency in Java or any other Object-Oriented Programming language
• Ability to write complex SQL queries for backend validation (Postgres, Cassandra, MySQL)
• Experience in testing web-based e-commerce or retail applications

Responsibilities and Duties

• Analyze business and technical requirements
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Execute test cases manually and automate regression test suites
• Perform backend validations using SQL queries
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to ensure timely delivery
• Participate in Agile ceremonies(stand-ups, planning, retrospectives)
• Maintain test documentation and contribute to QA process improvement initiatives
