The Deputy Compliance and Privacy Officer will serve as a healthcare regulatory compliance subject matter expert, as well as Privacy Officer as required by applicable privacy laws. This position is primarily responsible for the effective design, operation, and maintenance of all compliance program policies, procedures, and controls.
This role will ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, including HIPAA and HITECH requirements, licensing requirements, and internal compliance policies/procedures. This position will implement appropriate initiatives, policies and processes, risk assessments, compliance related reports, education/training, and audit/monitoring.
The Deputy Compliance and Privacy Officer will investigate reports of non-compliance and monitor corrective action plans.
This position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel will be required to Avalon's corporate office located in Tampa, Florida.
