Wound Care Nurse Practitioner – Greater Tampa Bay Area

We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced wound care services across community-based settings, including patient homes, assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers.

The ideal provider will have experience managing chronic wounds, performing wound assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage chronic and complex wounds using evidence-based practices.
• Perform sharp and conservative debridement within scope of practice and competency.
• Apply advanced wound care therapies, including skin substitutes and other treatment modalities.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic testing as clinically appropriate.
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, home health agencies, and facility teams.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on wound prevention and long-term management.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications: Required

• Active Florida APRN license.
• National Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Active DEA registration.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently in community-based settings.

Preferred

• Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, CWON, CWS, or equivalent).
• Experience in wound care, home health, hospice, geriatrics, vascular medicine, or primary care.
• Experience with advanced wound products, biologics, or skin substitute applications.
• Experience providing mobile or facility-based patient care.

Working Hours: Flexible PRN Schedule
