Sr. Business Development Manager - PEO

We are seeking an experienced, high-performing Senior Business Development Manager with a proven background in Professional Employer Organization (PEO), Payroll, Benefits or HR Services sales.

This role is designed for a true business development professional who brings an established book of business and a strong network of referral partners, and who is comfortable operating in a highly visible, field-based, door-to-door sales environment.

This position is focused on generating new revenue through direct prospecting, relationship-driven selling, and strategic partnership development. The successful candidate will operate with a hunter mindset and will be accountable for building and sustaining a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth through direct, in-person prospecting, networking, and relationship development within an assigned territory
• Leverage an existing book of business and professional network to generate immediate sales opportunities
• Identify, engage, and develop strategic referral and channel partnerships
• Conduct consultative sales meetings to understand client needs and position PEO solutions aligned to business goals
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through close and handoff to internal implementation teams
• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity reporting and consistently meet or exceed revenue targets
• Build long-term client relationships to support retention and future expansion opportunities
• Represent the company professionally in the market and serve as a trusted advisor to prospective clients

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience selling PEO solutions - Workers Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, HR Services
• Established book of business and referral network within the small-to-mid-market employer space
• Minimum of 3 years of consistent, successful, quota-carrying business development or outside sales experience
• Proven ability to prospect independently and succeed in a field-based, door-to-door or in-person sales environment
• Strong consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Ability to build credibility quickly with business owners and senior leaders
• Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and results-driven

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
• Experience selling HR, payroll, benefits, or related workforce solutions
• Strong understanding of the PEO sales cycle and decision-making process

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
