Role Description The Financial Controller is a part-time, on-site role based in Orlando, FL, responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial operations and ensuring accurate, timely reporting. Day-to-day tasks include managing accounting records, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and monitoring cash flow, budgets, and project costs.

The role involves coordinating financial reporting for management, analyzing financial data to support business decisions, and maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The Financial Controller will partner with leadership and project teams to track expenses, forecast revenue, and implement controls that support profitable growth.

This role also includes refining financial processes, improving reporting tools, and supporting audits or reviews as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting and finance skills, including experience with Finance and Accounting in a small to mid-sized business or professional services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare, review, and interpret Financial Statements and perform accurate Financial Reporting.
• Solid Analytical Skills, including the ability to analyze budgets, project costs, and profitability and provide clear recommendations to leadership.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel, including reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements, with attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a part-time schedule.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with cross-functional design and project teams.
