Medical Front Desk Clerk. Part Time

Job Overview

Florida Spine Care Center, an orthopaedic spine surgery clinic, is seeking a part time clerk to join our front desk team. Hours are : M 7:30am-2pm T 7:30am-2pm W 7:30am-2pm Th 8am-2pm and Friday 8am-12pm. This position is ideal for parents of school aged children or students attending class in the evenings. We will train friendly enthusiastic applicants with customer service and phone experience.

Health care experience preferred but not required to apply.

• Answer phones and make appointments
• Greet patients at the front desk in a friendly pleasant manner
• Enter patient demographic information and make copies of insurance card and ID.
• Copy medical records as needed
• Collect copays and balance out receipts at the end of the business day
• Scan records into the EMR system as needed
• Use personal vehicle to pick up daily mail and other small errands as needed. (Mileage reimbursement monthly)
• Keeping the front desk and waiting area neat and organized
• Be willing and able to enthusiastically help other employees if needed.

Qualifications

Applicants must have at least six months consecutive experience in a customer service setting and the ability to work independently.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
