We are seeking a creative, dependable, and results-driven team member to help operate our ice cream shop while managing the shop’s social media presence.

This position combines customer service and store operations with filming, editing, and posting short-form videos for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, understands current social media trends, and can create content designed to generate views, customer engagement, and in-store sales.

This is not simply a role for making videos based on personal preferences. Content should be created and edited based on what performs well, attracts customers, and supports the business. Creative interests are welcome when they align with those goals.

ResponsibilitiesSocial Media and Video Content

• Manage and regularly post content to the ice cream shop’s social media accounts.
• Film products, employees, customers when permitted, store activities, promotions, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Edit engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant platforms.
• Create videos with the goal of increasing views, engagement, brand awareness, and sales.
• Focus on content that performs well with the target audience rather than only creating videos based on personal taste.
• Follow trends, test different video formats, and identify which types of content generate the strongest results.
• Review basic performance data, including views, watch time, engagement, follower growth, and sales impact.
• Develop attention-grabbing hooks, captions, text overlays, and calls to action.
• Maintain a consistent brand image and professional tone across all social media accounts.
• Promote new products, special offers, events, and seasonal menu items.
• Respond appropriately to comments and messages when assigned.

Store Operations

• Scoop and combine different ice cream and cookie options to create ice cream sandwiches and other menu items.
• Operate cookie ovens and other store equipment safely and efficiently.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
• Accurately process customer orders and payments.
• Open and close the store independently according to established procedures.
• Work scheduled late-night shifts, generally between approximately 9:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store, including equipment, counters, utensils, floors, and customer areas.
• Complete all closing cleaning and preparation duties before leaving.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages of ingredients, packaging, or supplies.
• Package and label finished products for sale.
• Follow all food-handling regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Be comfortable operating a small store independently during assigned shifts.

Requirements

• Experience filming and editing short-form social media videos.
• Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms.
• Ability to create content based on performance, customer response, and business goals.
• Willingness to accept feedback and revise content to improve views, engagement, or sales.
• Basic understanding of social media trends, hooks, captions, pacing, and audience retention.
• Comfortable appearing on camera when needed and filming other team members or products.
• Reliable smartphone and familiarity with video-editing applications such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities without constant supervision.
• Availability to work late-night shifts, including shifts around 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and store procedures.
• Basic math skills for processing orders and measuring ingredients.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary workspace.
• Previous experience in a quick-service restaurant, ice cream shop, grocery store, café, or similar environment is preferred.
• Cash-handling and register experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of food preparation and safe food-handling practices is preferred.
