[General Position Summary]

This position is responsible for the Company’s accounting activities.

Work involves routine exercise of discretion and judgment, and includes coordinating and preparing financial reports, monitoring the input and preparation of the general ledger, accounts payables and accounts receivables, coordinating all tax-related issues, monitoring inventory of raw material, work in process and finished goods and supporting the management work of the administrative and human resource related, with direct supervision over one subordinate.

[Essential Job Functions]

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Responsible for monitoring and reviewing departmental employee’s activities related to general ledger input, and accounts payables and accounts receivables activities. Monitoring includes cash receipts and payment records. Also, monitors inventory values on a consistent basis.
• Responsible for financial statement preparation and submittal on a monthly basis; budget (actual and projected) annually; and the financial reporting.
• Responsible for monitor and manage actual cost of products and merchandise based on the cost accounting including the management of inventory of raw materials, work in process and finished goods as well as merchandise.
• Perform financial trend analysis
• Prepare and enforce internal financial policy, procedure, and internal control.
• Prepare and enforce internal process policy and procedure.
• Responsible for coordinating and checking D&B reports on customers and handling order release related to customer payments.
• Coordinates all accounting information with headquarters in Japan. Provides integration of all accounting information with headquarters in Japan.
• Helps monitor the input and sending of payroll information to external payroll service company on a bi-weekly basis; May contact customer representative of payroll service company for resolution of problems as needed.

Tax-Related

• Responsible for the preparation and payments/filing of sales/use tax.
• Coordinates and assists CPA firm with preparation of corporate tax provisions/returns.
• Monitors and oversees payroll tax preparation completed by external payroll company.

Human Resources Management & Administration

• Helps Investigate and handles employee relations issues such as management and employee disputes, complaints, disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Helps maintains and updates personnel files and personnel records.
• Helps enforce Human Resource policy to compile with Federal and State labor law.
• Helps manage the Company’s employee benefits insurances including medical, dental and vision plans.
• Helps coordinate workers’ compensation program including working with insurance company regarding cases.
• Helps oversee all facilities including maintenance and repair.
• Helps monitor facilities compile with OSHA.
• Helps manage the company safety and security.

Other & Miscellaneous

• Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
• Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by senior management.
• Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
• Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisors for solution.
• Maintains good communication with other management, office staff members and outside contacts.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Education & Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; and five years related experience.

• General office equipment including phones, personal computer, email, fax, copier, etc.
• Software includes the use of Windows operating system, MS Office and Sage 300.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
