We are currently looking for a friendly, organized, and reliable Part-Time Receptionist to be the face of our salon and welcome our human and four-legged clients.

Job Description

As our Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients. Your primary role will be to create a welcoming atmosphere, manage the daily schedule, and ensure the front desk runs smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who loves animals, excels at multitasking, and enjoys interacting with the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls promptly, answer client questions, manage the booking calendar, & schedule appointments.
• Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and check-out.
• Maintain salon laundry throughout the day to ensure clean towels are always available.
• Be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs (such as assisting with large dogs).
• Confirm upcoming appointments and handle cancellations or rescheduling.
• Process client payments accurately using our point-of-sale system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
• Communicate client preferences or specific pet needs to the grooming staff.

Requirements

• Previous customer service, retail, or reception experience is preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including regular lifting and managing laundry.
• Comfort and confidence being around animals of all shapes and sizes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn scheduling software quickly.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
• Punctual, dependable, and a team player.

Schedule and Compensation

• 24 to 32 hours per week

Tuesday-Friday.

• Hourly wage: Competitive, based on experience.
